Cardiff College International

Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, is located by the sea and combines the advantages of a lively city with the warmth and friendliness of a small town. Cardiff has good road and rail links and two local airports as well as excellent cultural, sporting and shopping facilities, such as Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Centre, the Millennium Stadium, the Edwardian Civic Centre, St David’s 2 or Cardiff Bay.

Cardiff College International is located in a popular student area with plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, but is also just a 5 minute walk from the city centre. The college offers a wide range of programmes including English language, foundation, academic and vocational courses. We have a well deserved reputation for being friendly and welcoming;

Our English for International Students include classes of 14 to 18 students on average from a wide range of nationalities. All our students are 18 years old or above. Full-time (16 hours/week) General English courses range from elementary to advanced level. We offer a full-time IELTS Preparation and Study Skills course at upper-intermediate level.

We also run part-time evening courses from intermediate to Proficiency Level as well as IELTS, Writing and Speaking & Pronunciation courses.

There are two main intakes in September and January. The minimum stay is one term (3 months).

The college offers student support with academic matters through the tutorial programme. The International Office offers support with matters relating to accommodation and welfare and general issues concerning living and working in the UK. The course has a social programme which helps students mix at different levels. These activities include day trips to London, Stratford upon Avon, and visits to local places of cultural interest. The college also provides a counselling service, careers guidance and there is an in-house UCAS Advisor to help with university applications.

Cardiff College International offers quality education in a supportive and caring environment. Cardiff has all the benefits of a multicultural capital city but still retains its small town friendliness. The city compares favourably to other UK destinations in surveys of safety, life style, pollution and cost of living. There are 3 local Universities and a varied provision of private halls of residence available to our students. We recruit most of our students through word of mouth and we feel that this is a testament to the fact that we succeed in providing our students with an excellent experience.
